Shaykh Abdur Rahman Anwar

Shaykh Abdurrahman Anwar was born in San Jose, CA, he later on moved to the UK and spent some time there. Imam Abdurrahman attended seminary in India. In 2006. He received isnaad and ijaazaat in Hadith, Tafseer, Fiqh and Usool. he mastered the Arabic language and received special training in Qira’ah & Tajweed. After completing his studies he served as an Imam and teacher for a number of years at a Masjid and Islamic School in the USA. In the summer of 2011 he moved to London, UK to be closer to his parents. He currently resides in East London with his family and is serving the community around him. 

 

He is active in outreach activities and regularly speaks at different Masajid and Universities across the country, he has been teaching part time adult courses at Ebrahim Community College for over 8 years and regularly provides counseling and pastoral care. Shaykh Abdur Rahman is well known for his unique lecture style and Northern Californian accent as he delivers the khutbah at four different masjids in London. He is also working with one of UKs leading Muslim charities, Ummah Welfare Trust, helping provide relief and aid across the globe.
